From Beyond The Frontier
Brillant technologists from a dusky world.
The Formax are from a world that has less gravity then the galactic norm. This has caused the Formax to evolve with a lighter bone structure that makes them quicker and lighter on their feet, but they have less stamina then races from higher gravity worlds. Randous has longer nights than days, and the Formax originally hunted at dusk as this gave them an advantage.
The Formax have a reddish skin that is soft and smooth to the touch. Their soft features are pleasing to most other races’ eyes. They tend to be a little taller than is normal, but their features tend to be slimmer than is normal for their height.
The Formax reached the Information Age much sooner than any of the other races in the Empire. Their understanding of computers and information is innate. This allowed them to develop the first robotic systems and lead to the breakthrough that allows modern androids to exist. They are the largest producers of robots and androids in the Empire.
The Formax have good relations with most of the other noble houses in the Empire, with the exception of the Harmic. The Harmic are envious of the Formaxs’ near monopoly on robots and androids. This has lead to a less than friendly competition that rarely escalates into actual shooting.
